All children attending Nethergate Academy have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), which is reviewed annually in conjunction with the child's local authority.

The Local Authority determines which pupils are admitted to the school. The Local Authority moderates all applications and, in agreement with the school, decides which pupils are most suitable for placement. Occasionally, assessment places are offered to pupils who are new to the area.

There is an appeal process for families who are not offered a place at Nethergate Academy, and you should contact your SEN advisor at the Local Authority for guidance on how to access this.
