Uniform

You can find a copy of the trust's uniform policy here.

Uniform is important to us at Nethergate because it means that our pupils develop a sense of belonging to our school community.

We do understand that for some of our pupils it can be difficult for them to wear certain clothing due to their sensory needs. They may feel more comfortable in looser and more accessible clothing, e.g. plain jogging bottoms as opposed to school trousers.

Pupils are encouraged to wear the school uniform listed below.

Purchasing Uniform

All new pupils are given a free school uniform which includes:

2x embroidered polo shirts, 1x embroidered sweatshirt, a PE kit and PE bag.

All pupils are given a school water bottle at the beginning of each academic year.

You can purchase any additional school uniform from our designated supplier using the link below:

Alternatively, high street shops and supermarkets can be used to buy plain uniforms in our school colours.

Uniform Donations

We are always happy to accept donations of clean, pre-loved items of uniform. Please leave your donations at the school office.

Jewellery

No jewellery is allowed, except for a watch and earring studs for pierced ears. This is for safety reasons and to avoid the disappointment of loss or damage.
Please note that earrings will need to be removed or taped over for P.E.

Dressing for the Weather

Please provide your child with a sun hat to wear outside during play times and all outdoor activities. We would appreciate that you send a sun hat and apply sun cream between the months of May-October.

We ask that all primary pupils bring willies and puddle suits to remain in school for outdoor learning.

All children will need a warm, waterproof coat to travel to and from school and to wear during outdoor activities.

Please ensure that all items, including shoes, are clearly labelled.

Learning can be messy and clothes may become soiled during sensory play and practical activities. A messy uniform shows what your child has been learning today and is evidence that we've been having lots of fun!
