A big thank you to Councillor Mellen who visited Nethergate this week to raise awareness of Nottingham's 'Big Reading Challenge'. We will look forward to supporting the project by fundraising later in the term.
Students across school enjoyed taking part in activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. We were particularly delighted to welcome back Ling Peng who taught us about the history of the 'Dragon Dance', told stories and even played the Urhu (Chinese Violin).
Our annual careers fair was fantastically well attended by students and their parents and carers. A broad range of providers from NCS to Confetti studios were onsite to talk through career options with our talented and aspirational young people.

Great day with Sophia and Oscar from http://WE.org, who spent the day with 6th Form students looking at 'WE Feel Good' https://we.org/en-GB/our-work/we-schools/service-learning-campaigns/take-action/we-feel-good…. 6th Form will now continue to work on projects that will focus on raising awareness of Racism, Bullying and Animal Cruelty.
